I am fortunate to be linked to many incredible charitable happenings here in the Triangle. From amazing activities through the Food Bank of Central Eastern NC to incredible volunteering efforts of organizations such as Activate Good and Change the Triangle, this community is plugged in and ready to make a real difference in the lives of people who really need our help.
A few months ago, I attended the Triangle Association of Fundraising Professionals National Philanthropy Day. What an inspirational group of people who were honored for their incredible works in our community! I was nearly in tears from some of the stories that were told and everything about the event was just lovely.
Prior to that, I was invited to speak at the Triangle AFP October Breakfast about best practices in social media for nonprofits. It was truly a joy to share with individuals from amazing groups in our region.
And now, I’m pleased to share the news about a highly anticipated event coming up in just a few short weeks: The AFP Triangle Philanthropy Forecast 2014. I’m so excited, I could nearly burst! Seasoned fundrasing experts throughout the region will share their insights, recommendations, and advice for the upcoming year. There will be panels from the corporate arena, private and family foundations, major gifts and funding diversity.
If you are in the non-profit sector, encourage your board members, volunteers or fellow staff to attend. The AFP Triangle does a marvelous job of throwing tremendously successful events that are quite beneficial.
