Of course, the NC Center for Nonprofits is a tremendous resource for charitable organizations across the state. They offer fantastic services such as education, public policy information, beneficial conferences and networking opportunities for nonprofits statewide. I attended a conference a few years ago – such an amazing conglomeration of experts and useful information, and I made some great contacts to boot!
As a super-fan of charitable efforts, I am really excited to help shine the spotlight on incredible organizations in our region doing fabulous work in our communities. Our family is a true advocate of nonprofit organizations and I hope you will join us!
Choose a charity, or multiple charities, and help spread the word! I created a Facebook and Twitter banner for the Food Bank that you’re welcome to download if you’re a supporter of helping to fight hunger in central and eastern North Carolina (which I strongly encourage, of course!) Just click on the link for a full-size version and right-click to save to your computer.
Need more inspiration? Check out the United Way of the Greater Triangle! They have loads of incredible organizations that can really use YOUR help this November!
Or, perhaps your might be inspired by some of the Newmeyer family charitable selections we’ve had in the past:
Vitamin Angels, Pretty In Pink Foundation, Operation Cookie Drop, National Parks Conservation Association, National Wildlife Federation, International Relief Teams, DonorsChoose.org, The Helene Foundation, National Audubon Society
Most organizations depend on donations during the holidays – they are truly vital to extending the mission of helping to serve those in need: children, seniors, parents, teachers, animals, the environment, the arts… the list goes on!
So… what do you care about? Choose a group and share! Join us for Nonprofit Awareness Month! Use the Twitter Hashtag #npaware or check out the NC Center for Nonprofits and their efforts this month!
Together we can make a real difference this holiday season!
